Over / Under on Deriv's 1s indices: faster ticks, same odds
3 dk okuma
Deriv's one second indices publish a new price every second instead of every two. For an Over / Under bot that trades one tick at a time, that means roughly twice as many trades in the same time. The odds and the price stay the same, which makes the one second indices the easiest way to get through more trades in a session.
Which 1s indices offer Over / Under
Deriv lists eight one second Volatility indices, and every one of them offers the full set of digit contracts, Over / Under included, from 1 to 10 ticks:
- Volatility 10 (1s), 15 (1s), 25 (1s) and 30 (1s)
- Volatility 50 (1s), 75 (1s), 90 (1s) and 100 (1s)
The five Jump indices, Jump 10 to Jump 100, also tick every second and offer digit contracts. Crash, Boom, Step and Range Break indices do not offer digit contracts at all, so an Over / Under bot cannot run on them.
We checked the list against Deriv's own market data and timed the ticks on 11 October 2026: one per second on the 1s and Jump indices, one every two seconds on the standard Volatility indices.
What a tick every second changes
The odds do not change. Most one second indices quote to two decimals, and Volatility 15 (1s), 30 (1s) and 90 (1s) to three, so the last digit sits at a different decimal place from the standard index of the same number. Wherever it sits, it is equally likely to be any of the ten on every one of these indices, so Under 8 still wins on eight digits in ten and Over 4 on five. We asked Deriv for the same Over / Under quotes on a standard index and its one second version, and the payout was identical.
The pace doubles. A one tick contract settles on the next tick, so on a one second index a bot can trade roughly twice as often. A session of a given number of trades takes half the time.
Limits arrive sooner. Take profit and stop loss are amounts of money and max losses in a row is a count of trades, so none of them depends on the clock. With twice as many trades a minute, the bot reaches them in about half the time, whichever way the session goes.
Over / Under bots that ship on a 1s index
Three Over / Under bots on BinaryTick already run on one:
- Over 1 buys Over 1 on every trade on Volatility 50 (1s).
- Digit Sprint buys Over 2 as soon as a low digit lands, on Volatility 100 (1s).
- High Digit Fade waits for two high digits in a row, then buys Under 7, on Volatility 100 (1s).
Any other Over / Under bot can move to a one second index from the market list on its card. Under 8, for example, ships on Volatility 10 and runs the same rule on Volatility 10 (1s).
Setting up for the faster pace
Because the same session plays out twice as fast, check three settings before you press Run bot:
- Take profit and stop loss. Both default to 10. On a one second index you reach either one sooner, so set them to amounts you are comfortable reaching quickly.
- Max losses in a row. It counts trades, so it triggers in seconds rather than minutes. The default is a sensible place to start.
- Cooldown after a loss (ticks). On bots that have one, the cooldown is counted in ticks, so the same setting is a shorter pause on a one second index. Digit Sprint and High Digit Fade ship with it at 0; raise it if you want a pause after a loss.
Run one now
Open Over 1 or Digit Sprint and run it on your demo balance to see the one second pace for yourself. Then try the same bot on a standard index and compare. For the contract itself, see the Over / Under bots guide.
