Under 8 bot settings: three setups for Deriv

5 min de leitura

Under 8 buys Under 8 on every trade: a one tick contract on the last digit that wins on 0 to 7, eight digits out of ten. Each win pays a little, and a loss on 8 or 9 costs the whole stake. The settings decide how big each trade is, how the stake moves after a loss and when a session ends. This guide covers every setting on the card and three setups with exact numbers.

What Under 8 does

The card's How it works says it in one line: it buys Under 8 on every trade, and it wins on digits 0 to 7. There is no entry rule to wait for, so it trades on every tick it can. It ships on Volatility 10 with a 1 tick contract.

A 1 USD Under 8 pays 1.23 USD on a win, 0.23 USD profit, and the same on every Volatility and Jump index we checked, because a digit's odds do not depend on the market.

Every setting on the card

These are in the order the card lists them under Settings. The market field sits above that section on the card, and comes last here.

Duration (ticks). How many ticks each contract runs, 1 by default. A digit contract settles on the last digit of its final tick, so a longer contract does not change what wins. It only makes each trade take longer.

Initial stake. The stake on the first trade of each sequence, 1 USD by default. The lowest the card accepts is 0.35 USD.

Martingale multiplier and Use martingale. After a loss the stake is multiplied by 2.1, and after a win it goes back to the initial stake. Untick Use martingale and the stake stays flat.

Max stake. The ceiling for the martingale, 5 USD by default. The ladder runs 1, 2.1, then 4.41 USD; the next step would pass 5 USD, so the stake goes back to 1 USD.

Take profit and Stop loss. The bot stops once the session is 10 USD up or 10 USD down. Both are checked after each trade.

Max losses in a row. The bot stops after 5 losses in a row.

Barrier digit. The digit the contract is measured against, 8 by default. Under wins on every digit below it. At 7 the bot buys Under 7, which wins on seven digits and pays 1.40 USD. At 9 it buys Under 9, which wins on nine and pays 1.09 USD.

Market. Volatility 10 by default. Any market on the list that offers digit contracts works, including the 1s indices and the Jump indices.

A run at the default settings

These are Deriv's payouts for Under 8: 1.23 USD on a 1 USD stake and 2.59 USD on 2.1 USD. Here is an example of how eight trades play out at the default settings, worked through with those payouts.

TradeStakeResultProfit on the tradeSession profitNext stake
11 USDWin+0.23+0.231 USD
21 USDWin+0.23+0.461 USD
31 USDWin+0.23+0.691 USD
41 USDWin+0.23+0.921 USD

62.1 USDWin+0.49+0.411 USD
71 USDWin+0.23+0.641 USD
81 USDWin+0.23+0.871 USD

The win at 2.1 USD on trade 6 gets back about half of the 1 USD loss, and the stake returns to 1 USD. The wins after it do the rest, and the session ends 0.87 USD up. On a contract that pays 0.23 USD per 1 USD, the martingale repays part of a loss in one trade and the next few wins make up the rest.

Three setups

1. As shipped. Initial stake 1 USD, martingale 2.1x, max stake 5 USD, take profit 10 USD, stop loss 10 USD, 5 losses in a row. Because the stop loss is checked after each trade, a session can end down by just under the stop loss plus the largest stake, about 14.41 USD. Run it from a balance of about 15 USD or more.

2. For a 10 USD balance. Untick Use martingale, keep the initial stake at 1 USD and set Stop loss to 9. Every trade then stakes 1 USD, and a session can end down by just under 10 USD, inside the balance. The small account guide explains the sizing.

3. For a faster pace. Keep the settings as shipped and switch the market to Volatility 10 (1s). Under 8 pays the same 1.23 USD there, and the index ticks every second instead of every two seconds, so a session plays out in about half the time. The 1s indices guide covers that market.

Run it now

Open Under 8 and run it on your demo balance first, as shipped. Watch the stake jump to 2.1 USD after a loss and drop back to 1 USD after the next win. Then try one change at a time: a flat stake, a different Barrier digit, or the 1s market. The Over / Under bots page has the rest of the family, the Over / Under bots guide explains each one, and Even / Odd vs Over / Under compares every barrier's payout.
