Deriv bots in Kenya: fund with M-Pesa and start trading on BinaryTick
3분 분량
Kenya runs on M-Pesa, and so can your Deriv account. You can open an account, top it up from your phone, and have a free bot trading on BinaryTick in one sitting, without a laptop and without paying for a bot file.
Step 1: Open your Deriv account through BinaryTick
Open BinaryTick on your phone or computer and press Sign up. You create the account on Deriv's own page, and every new account starts with a demo balance of virtual funds, so you can run bots before you deposit anything.
If you already have a Deriv account, press Log in instead. BinaryTick signs you in through Deriv, so your password is only ever typed on Deriv's page.
Step 2: Fund it with M-Pesa or another Kenyan method
Deriv publishes its payment methods and their limits on its payment methods page. These are the methods on that list that most people in Kenya already have, with the limits Deriv listed on 11 October 2026, in USD:
| Method | Deposit | Withdrawal | Deposit time | Withdrawal time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| M-Pesa | 5 to 1,000 | 5 to 1,000 | Instant | Instant |
| Airtel | 5 to 150 | 5 to 750 | Instant | Instant |
| Equitel | 5 to 150 | 5 to 150 | Instant | Instant |
| Visa or Mastercard | 10 to 10,000 | 10 to 10,000 | Instant | 1 working day |
| Deriv P2P | Up to 10,000 a day | Up to 10,000 a day | Up to 1 hour | Up to 1 hour |
M-Pesa is the simplest route for most people: deposits and withdrawals are both listed as instant, from 5 USD. Airtel Money works the same way, with a lower deposit ceiling. Equitel, from Equity Bank, is listed too. Deriv P2P lets you swap shillings with other Deriv users at a rate you agree.
Your Deriv cashier shows the methods available for your account. Deriv can change its limits at any time, so check the cashier before you top up.
Step 3: Practise on the demo balance
Before your first deposit, or straight after it, run a bot on the demo balance. Switch the account selector to demo, open the Bots tab, and press Run bot on any card. The demo balance uses the same live prices and the same contracts, so what you learn carries straight over. The demo account guide has the best ways to use it.
Step 4: Pick a bot for your first real session
Most bots ship with an initial stake of 1 USD, a stop loss of 10 USD and a 2.1x martingale capped by a max stake of 5 USD. The stop loss is checked after each trade, and the martingale can put up to 4.41 USD on a single trade, so a session at the defaults needs a balance comfortably above the stop loss: about 15 USD. Starting with 10 USD? Untick Use martingale for a flat 1 USD stake and set the stop loss to 9, and the session ends before your balance runs short. The initial stake can go as low as 0.35 USD.
Good first bots:
- Under 8 wins on eight digits out of ten, one tick at a time.
- Digit Differs wins about nine times in ten.
- Rise / Fall Momentum follows a run of three ticks in one direction.
Each card explains its rule under How it works, and every setting, including take profit and stop loss, is on the card before you press Run bot.
Trading from your phone
BinaryTick runs in your phone's browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. The synthetic indices trade around the clock, so you can run a session whenever it suits you. See how to trade Deriv on your phone for the setup.
