Deriv Over / Under bots: how the barrier works and which bot to run
5 মিনিটের পড়া
Over / Under is the digit contract with a dial. Even / Odd and Matches / Differs give you fixed odds, but Over / Under lets you pick a barrier digit and, with it, how often you win and how much each win pays. The bots built on it use that dial in different ways.
How Over / Under settles
Every Deriv price has a last digit, from 0 to 9. On the synthetic indices each of the ten turns up equally often over time. An Over / Under contract looks at the last digit of the final tick and compares it with the barrier digit you chose.
- Over wins when the digit lands above the barrier. Over 4 wins on 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
- Under wins when it lands below. Under 4 wins on 0, 1, 2 and 3.
The barrier digit itself loses on both sides. Under 8 wins on eight digits out of ten, so about 80% of the time. Over 1 does the same from the other end, winning on 2 through 9. Push the barrier towards the middle and the win rate falls while the payout rises to match.
Every Over / Under bot on BinaryTick ships with a one tick contract. Over / Under only cares about the last digit at expiry, so a longer contract adds waiting without changing what you are betting on.
Picking the barrier
The barrier is the setting with the largest effect on how a session feels.
A barrier near the edge, such as Under 8 or Over 1, wins most trades. Each win pays a small fraction of the stake, so a loss takes several wins to cover. Sessions feel calm until the digit lands on the wrong side, and that loss is the number to plan around.
A barrier near the middle, such as Over 4 or Under 5, wins about half the time and pays close to the stake. Results swing more from trade to trade, and a single loss is easy to win back.
Neither end is better. They are two ways of spreading the same odds, and a bot's card tells you which one it uses.
The Over / Under bots on BinaryTick
BinaryTick has 12 Over / Under bots, all free, on the Over / Under page. They fall into a few kinds.
Every trade, one rule. Under 8 buys Under 8 on every trade on Volatility 10. Over 1 buys Over 1 on every trade on Volatility 50 (1s), where a tick arrives every second. Over 3 / Under 7 reads the last digit after each trade: after 0 to 3 it buys Over 3, otherwise Under 7.
Bots that wait for a trigger digit. Digit Sprint buys Over 2, which wins on seven digits in ten, as soon as a low digit lands on Volatility 100 (1s). High Digit Fade waits for two high digits in a row, then buys Under 7. The pair spaces its entries out, so it trades less often than a bot that fires on every tick.
Bots that read a window of recent digits. Digit Mean Shift averages the last digits and buys the side of the barrier the average sits on. Tail Weight counts what share of recent digits landed above the barrier and compares it with the share that should. Digit Spread counts how many different digits appeared at all and only trades when a few digits keep repeating. Low Digit Run follows a run of digits on one side of the barrier. Barrier Picker always buys Under and chooses the barrier instead, checking the highest first.
A patient scanner. Digit Frequency Scanner builds a histogram of the last 50 digits on Volatility 100 and only acts when it leans past 35% or 65% low digits. It can sit out for several minutes. Shrink the sample size, or move the two bias levels closer to 50, and it trades more often.
A stake ladder instead of martingale. Grid Recovery Ladder climbs a four step ladder while it wins and drops back to step one on any loss, so a losing run never raises the stake.
Every one of them explains its rule under How it works on its card, and every number it uses is under Settings, so you can read a bot before you press Run bot.
The settings that matter
Barrier digit. On the bots that let you set it, this is the dial described above. Moving it changes the win rate and the payout together.
Martingale. Most Over / Under bots ship with a 2.1x martingale and a max stake of 5, and the max stake sends the ladder back to 1 after three steps: 1, 2.1, then 4.41. What 2.1x recovers depends on the barrier. With the barrier at 4, a win pays close to the stake, so 2.1x wins back the whole losing run. On the high win rate bots, Under 8, Over 1, Over 3 / Under 7, Digit Sprint and High Digit Fade, each win pays a small amount, so 2.1x wins back part of the run. Each card states its staking in one line, and Use martingale switches to a flat stake.
Max losses in a row. The every trade bots stop after 5 losses in a row by default. That catches a bad run by its pattern before it reaches the stop loss.
Stop loss and take profit. Both default to 10, so every session ends in one direction or the other. Set them to amounts you are comfortable with before you run.
Run one now
Open the Over / Under bots, pick one whose rule makes sense to you, and run it on your demo balance first. Under 8 is a good place to start: one rule, one tick, and you will see both sides of a high win rate inside a single session. When you want to compare digit contracts side by side, the digit bots guide puts Over / Under next to Even / Odd and Matches / Differs.
